Gabon is a scorekeeper for a physical card game. It is designed to collect only the information needed to create players, remember which profile this device uses, save games, and calculate score history.
Data we collect
Gabon may store player names, initials, profile colors, optional profile photos, game photos, game titles, players, round scores, correction events, halving events, final scoreboards, rule notes, season data, statistics, and optional city- or country-level game locations.
If location permission is denied or a place cannot be resolved, no map location is stored. When cloud sync is configured, Gabon may also store an anonymous Firebase user ID.
How we use data
We use this data to remember your active player profile, save game history and statistics, save optional photos and locations, sync scorekeeping data when configured, and keep an active game available through local cache resilience.
Tracking and advertising
Gabon does not show third-party ads, sell data, or use collected data for tracking.
Local cache and cloud sync
Gabon stores a local cache on the device. If cloud sync is configured, player, game, round, season, and rule note data may be stored in Firebase/Firestore. Optional profile photos and game photos may be stored in Firebase Storage. Game location fields sync with game data when cloud sync is enabled.
Other installations with cloud sync enabled can read and update profiles, games, photos, and other scorekeeping records in the shared pool. Do not add information you do not want to share. You can disable cloud sync from the cloud status sheet in the Players tab. This stops new syncing and attempts to delete the anonymous Firebase authentication user. Previously shared records remain in the pool until deleted or corrected.
Location
Location permission is optional and requested when you choose a location for a new or existing game. The app resolves a city-level location, with country-level fallback. Exact coordinates, accuracy, and capture timestamp are cleared before saving. Location is not used for advertising or tracking.
Delete or correct data
You can edit player profiles and delete games inside the app. For a full deletion, correction, or export request, contact support.
